BUSINESSREVIEW DuringtheReportPeriod,theglobaleconomybyandlargeremainedchallengingdespitetheimpactof2019coronaviruspandemic(“COVID-19Pandemic”)hasgraduallydecreasedtowardstheendoftheyear.Formostoftheworld’seconomies,strictsocialdistancingmeasuresandcross-bordertravelrestrictionweresubstantiallyrelaxedduetoincreasedvaccinationandthehealththreateningeffectsoftheCOVID-19Pandemicvariantshavereduced.Overalleconomicactivitiesimprovedascomparedtoprioryear. Propertyregulatorypoliciesremainedtobebasedonthegeneralprincipleof“housingforlivinginsteadofspeculation”and“region-specificregulatorypolicies”.However,inresponsetothedemandforpandemicpreventionandcontrol,marketdownturnandmaintenanceofstableeconomicgrowth,localgovernmentshaveintroducedalargenumberofpoliciesonbothsupplyanddemandtosupportthestabledevelopmentoftherealestatemarket.Therefore,theregulatorypolicyenvironmentforthepropertymarkethasgraduallyrelaxed.The“16SupportiveFinancialMeasuresfortheRealEstateMarket”wasintroducedinthefourthquarterof2022,andsupportivepoliciesforcredit,bondsandequityfinancingwerelaunchedtoensuretherealestatemarket’sstabledevelopment,whichisconducivetofurtherstabilisingtheexpectationsofhomebuyersandmaintainingconsumers’confidenceintherealestatemarket.
