The Covid-19 pandemic has shown that higher education institutions need to be more flexible and responsive to changes in the market. This requires more agile planning and financial forecasting, as traditional planning horizons and annual budgets are no longer sufficient. The pandemic has exposed deficiencies in the technological infrastructure and business model of higher education, and has highlighted the need for better data and analytical tools. CFOs and campus planners need to be able to run scenarios and create contingency plans in real-time, in order to adapt to the constantly shifting landscape of higher education.
