Arthur D. Little's 2011 Telecoms Infrastructure Supplier Outlook report finds that established vendors are struggling while Huawei is poised for a turnaround. The report is based on a global survey of Chief Technology Officers (CTOs) and an analysis of the capital expenditure of the world's Top 100 telecom operators. The report finds that capex spending by telecom operators remains stable at a 0.7 percent CAGR 2010-2014, and supplier revenues are driven by telecom operators' capex spending, especially on equipment. The report also finds that most former sector leaders are still experiencing weak financial performance and are in danger of being overtaken in innovation and product leadership by their emerging competition.
