The IFIC Food & Health Survey is an annual online survey of 1,014 American consumers ages 18 to 80, conducted by Greenwald Research using Dynata's consumer panel. The survey aims to understand consumers' perceptions, beliefs, and behaviors around food and food purchasing decisions. This year's survey focuses on the ongoing impact of COVID-19 on food and diet habits, perceptions of health and nutrition, and food and beverage purchase drivers. The survey findings were weighted to ensure they reflect the American population ages 18 to 80, as seen in the 2020 Current Population Survey. The survey was conducted between March 23 and March 31, 2021, and took approximately 21 minutes to complete on average. The results were weighted by age, education, gender, race/ethnicity, and region. The IFIC Food & Health Survey provides evidence-based information on health, nutrition, and food safety for the public good.
