Furthermore,thestockmarketwasdraggedbyanumberofunfavourablenewsduringtheyearleadingtoalessthansatisfactoryperformancefromourfinancialservicesbusiness.TheGrouphasdiversifiedintothebondplacingmarket,butconsideringthemarketsentimentandexpectationofthemacro-economicenvironment,thebondplacingbusinessisdevelopingslowly.OurmanagementwillstrivetoincreasetheGroup’sexposureandscaleofoperationswithinthecapitalmarketsandmayintroducenewservicestopotentialcustomers. Allinall,theGroupwillbereassessingandre-engineeringitsstrategiesfromtimetotimeinresponsetotheeverchangingenvironment.InMay2023,theGroupenteredintoanon-legallybindingmemorandumofunderstandingwithtwopotentialvendors,pursuanttowhichtheGroupmayventureintothehealthcarebusinessinthemainlandChina. Lookingahead,theGroupwillactivelyidentifyandexploreinvestmentandbusinessopportunitiestostrengthenandbroadenitsassetsandrevenuebaseintoacomprehensiveportfolio.TheGroupwillcautiouslygraspofeveryopportunitytoenhanceandimprovethebusinessoperationandprofitabilityoftheGroup.
