BUSINESSREVIEW Economicandbusinessenvironmentin2021-22becameincreasinglycomplexanduncertainagainstthebackgroundofpandemicoutbreak,Russian-Ukraineconflict,risinginflationandthequantitativetighteningofvariouscentralbanks.Thepotentialnegativeeffectsoftheseissuesonbusinessweremultiple:weakeningcustomers’demand,unstableglobalsupply,strengtheningoftheviruscontainmentmeasuresandrisingenergyandtransportationcosts,etc.Undersuchcircumstances,HongKongeconomyhasbeenseverelyhitbyweakeneddomesticconsumptionundertheoutbreakofthefifthwaveofCovid-19andthereinforcementofsocialdistancingmeasures. BasedontheGroup’slongstandingreputation,thesolidfoundationofcomprehensivecustomernetworkandgoodrelationshipswithourcustomers,theGroupsuccessfullypositioneditselftoachieverevenuegrowthbydiversifyingitsproductstowardsthehighqualityfoodsegmentundertheunstableeconomicenvironment. 业绩 截至二零二二年三月三十一日止年度之全年业绩，本集团综合营业额录得约183,133,000港元（二零二一年：约131,120,000港元）。本公司权益所有者应占亏损为17,337,000港元（二零二一年：4,162,000港元），每股亏损为6.68港仙（二零二一年：1.6港仙）。 业务回顾 由于疫情爆发、俄乌冲突、通胀升温和各国央行量化紧缩，二零二一╱二二年的经济和营商环境逐渐变得复杂和不明朗。该等问题对企业造成多重潜在负面影响，包括客户需求下降、病毒控制措施的加强、全球供应不稳、能源和运输成本上涨等。加上第五波2019冠状病毒病（“Covid-19”）爆发和加强社交距离措施，在此情况下，香港经济受到本地消费疲弱的严重打击。 凭藉本集团悠久的声誉、全面客户网络和与客户良好关系的坚实基础，本集团成功在不稳定的经济环境下透过将产品多元化发展至优质食品市场以满足客户的需求，营业额有所提升。 HONGKONGFOODINVESTMENTHOLDINGSLIMITED|AnnualReport2022 Chairman’sStatement 主席报告5 NORTHAMERICA SOUTHAMERICA EUROPE AFRICA ASIA AUSTRALIA ANTARCTICA FrozenMeatsTrading Alwaysbringyoutheworld’ssuperiorqualityfrozenmeats 从世界每个角落带来优质冻肉 冻肉贸易业务 Whileglobaleconomycontinueditsunstablerecoveryfromthelastyear,severalcrisesoccurredinthebeginningof2022affectedtheglobaleconomy,e.g.thenewwaveofOmicronvariantoutbreak,increasingthreatsofmonetarytaperingtriggeredbyconcernsoverinflation,andRussia-Ukrainecrisisleadingtorisingenergyandfoodcosts.AllthesefactorsnegativelyaffectedtheGroup’scorebusinessoffrozenmeatstrading.Firstly,thedemandoffrozenmeatsfromcateringbusinesssectordroppedsignificantlybecausethenumberofcustomersdecreased,duetothecontinuingtravelrestrictions,quarantinerequirementsandsocialdistancingpolicy.Secondly,supplydelayfrequentlyoccurredsinceloadedcontainerswerehelduponboardvesselsduetolabourshortageunderstrictanti-pandemicmeasures.Thirdly,profitmarginwasfurthererodedbytherisingtransportationandwarehousecostscausedbythesupplychaindisruption. Notwithstandingthenegativeimpactsmentionedabove,thefrozenmeatstradingbusinessmanagedtoimproveitsrevenuebyadoptingaprudentpurchasestrategyontraditionalfrozenmeatswhileoptimisingitsproductmixthroughthehighqualityfrozenmeatproducts.TheGroup’ssolelydistributedJapanesewagyubeefbrand“Satsuma”andKoreanLotte’sAustralianwagyubeefbrand“L’Grow”fulfilledthegrowingneedsofpremiumfood.Atthesa
