ThereportconcludesthataddressingGBVHunderaWHSframeworkallowsforproactive,sys-tematic,collective,inclusiveandpubliclyenforceableapproachestoprevention.Assuch,WHSregimeshavethepotentialtoofferthekindofprogressiveandtransformationalchangeneed-edtopreventGBVHatworkandensurethatwomen’sandotherpeople’sequalityrights,aswellastheirhealthandsafety,arerespected.However,givenhistoricalandongoingresistancetotheideathatGBVHisawork-relatedrisk,alegalobligationtoconductagender-responsiveriskassessmentemergesasanimportantpreconditionforeffectiveprevention.
