The Worldwide Fuel Charter Committee has published the first edition of the "Methane-Based Transportation Fuels" charters. These charters are intended to provide information to legislators, fuel users, producers, and other interested parties around the world. The charters contain information from sources believed to be reliable, but the Committee makes no warranty, guarantee, or other representation, express or implied, with respect to their sufficiency or fitness for any particular purpose. The charters do not impose any obligations on users or producers of fuel, nor do they prohibit the use of any engine or vehicle technology or design, fuel, or fuel quality specification. Consumers are encouraged to check their vehicle owner manuals for specific guidance and to compare that guidance with fuel dispenser labels.
