The Worldwide Fuel Charters are a service provided by the Worldwide Fuel Charter Committee to lawmakers, fuel users, producers, and other interested parties worldwide. The sixth edition of the gasoline and diesel fuel charters was published on October 28, 2019. The charters contain information from reliable sources, but the committee makes no warranty or guarantee about their sufficiency or fitness for any particular purpose. The charters do not impose any obligations on fuel users or producers and do not prohibit the use of any engine or vehicle technology or design, fuel, or fuel quality specification. They are not intended to replace engine and vehicle manufacturers' fuelling recommendations for their products, and consumers are encouraged to check their vehicle owner manuals for specific guidance and to compare it with fuel dispenser labels.
