Organizations can benefit from agile ways of working in effectively and efficiently leveraging data in their day-to-day operations. Agile can help organizations understand and benefit from a growing amount of data, improve understanding of customers and their behaviors, as well as control of internal processes. However, in many cases, the amount of data is so large, and the nature of it so complex, that it is difficult to analyze and act upon. Agile ways of working can help organizations improve data utilization by improving understanding of which data to collect and how to use it. Our empirical evidence shows that there are several benefits from agile ways of working, including improved understanding of customers and their behaviors, improved understanding of internal processes, and increased efficiency in data utilization.
