This report discusses the importance of effective change management in the procurement process in the digital era. The authors argue that emerging technologies such as AI, RPA, and blockchain are creating new source-to-pay processes that are revolutionizing the way procurement operates. As a result, it is critical for change managers to understand the psychological aspects of change and find innovative ways to drive adoption. The report suggests that traditional change management practices have underplayed the importance of these psychological aspects and that more interpersonal communication methods and innovative learning methods are needed to drive adoption. The authors conclude that change management in the digital era requires a new approach that focuses on understanding and relating to the mind of a change resistor and leveraging new communication and learning methods as enablers of change adoption.
