The report presents a comparison of the performance of LTE-V2X and DSRC (IEEE 802.11p) technologies in terms of reliable communication range. Nine simulated cases were conducted, including six on freeways and three in urban areas, all at a speed of 60 km/h. The report shows that LTE-V2X outperforms DSRC in all cases, with gains ranging from 50 to 350 meters in terms of reliable communication range. The gains are highest in freeway scenarios at absolute speeds of 140 km/h and 70 km/h, with PRRs of 95%, 90%, and 80%. The report also provides a summary of the results for each scenario, including the minimum and maximum values. Overall, the report suggests that LTE-V2X is a more reliable technology for V2X communication compared to DSRC.
