This paper reviews the state of risk and business forecast information disclosure in narrative reporting. The study is based on a review of annual reports from industry leaders in the UK, Germany, the US, Canada, Australia, Malaysia and Singapore. The authors argue that while narrative reporting is a valuable tool for communicating business performance and strategy, it is often lacking in risk and business forecast information. The study found that while some companies provide detailed risk and forecast information, many others do not. The authors suggest that companies should be more transparent in their reporting of risk and forecast information, as this can help investors make informed decisions. Overall, the study highlights the importance of providing comprehensive and transparent risk and forecast information in narrative reporting.
