DuringtheReviewPeriod,theGroupwasunderpressurefromcustomers’destocking,andthereforetheGroup’sresultswereinevitablyaffectedbysuchadifficultoperatingenvironment.DuringtheReviewPeriod,theGrouprecordedrevenueofapproximatelyHK$160.3million,adecreaseof24.7%comparedwiththecorrespondingperiodlastyear(firsthalfof2022:approximatelyHK$212.8million).Althoughproductioncostssuchasrawmaterialpricesandtransportationcostsdecreased,theGroup’sgrossprofitmarginfortheReviewPerioddecreasedto39.3%(firsthalfof2022:40.5%)aswagesremainedhighandlaborcostsincreased.AsthesalesperformancewasaffectedbythemacroenvironmentandsomeoftheGroup’snewsalesofficesandproductionbases(e.g.Mexico,Turkey)werestillintheinvestmentphase,pre-operationalexpenseswereincurredduringtheReviewPeriod,addedthatnewlyemployedsalesrepresentativeswerestillundertraining,resultinginalossattributabletoownersoftheCompanyofapproximatelyHK$18.8million(firsthalfof2022:profitattributabletotheownersoftheCompanyofapproximatelyHK$9.3million). Intermsofsales,inflationandinterestratehikesaffectedpurchasingpower,andinventorieshadbeensteadilyincreasingunderthelowdemandforgoods,resultinginasignificantdecreaseinordersoftheglobalapparelindustryinthefourthquarteroflastyear.Nevertheless,duringthefirsthalfyear,theGroupfocusedonenhancingtheexistingglobalsalesnetworkandmonitoredmarketconditionstopreparefortherecoveryoffuturemarketdemand.Oursalesandmarketingteamshavebeenworkinghardtoconsolidaterelationships
