The Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAAA) has been working to increase AAPI homeownership rates through various initiatives. These include developing and recognizing volunteer leaders, advocating for AAPI homeownership in the U.S. Census Bureau quarterly report, and providing translated documents and tools for mortgage borrowers with limited English proficiency. In addition, the organization has been successful in growing active participation through its 42 chapters and collaborating with organizations that share its mission. Through these efforts, the AAPI homeownership rate has increased to 61%. To continue its mission, AREAA is seeking to increase active participation and provide opportunities for AAPI economic growth.
