To cope with this, streaming services are offering low-cost or free ad-supported options, similar to traditional broadcast television. Social video and user-generated content are also gaining popularity and pushing into the living room experience. The average bundle of video services grew to new heights, but the discovery dilemma remains a significant pain point for consumers. Respondents voted discovery as a more significant pain point than the overall cost of their video bundle. The majority of respondents also noted having too many services in their bundle and the rate of change at which content jumps in and out of their purview is damaging to their overall viewing experience. The growth of available content and the adoption of video technology that helps navigate the overwhelming sea of options are needed to reach a balance.
