IthasbeentheGroup’sbusinessstrategytodiversifyitsbusinessmodelsintodifferentbusinesssectorsandtostrengthenandexpanditsrevenuestreams.TheGroupiscommittedtogeneratingsustainablereturnstoitsShareholdersandenhancetheShareholders’value.ThemanagementoftheGroupformulatesvariousbusinessstrategiestocopewiththedevelopmentoftheGroup.Also,wemonitorthemarketscloselyandtakeimmediateandappropriateactionswhenneeded. Duringtheyearended31March2023,theglobaleconomicmomentumhadbeenslowingdown,inparticular,thepropertymarketinthePeople’sRepublicofChina(the“PRC”)hasbeenfacinganunprecedentedlydifficultandcomplicatedoperatingenvironment.TherecurringdomesticCOVID-19pandemiccases,shortageanddisruptionofthesupplychain,creditcrisesofpropertydevelopers,andweakeneddemandforpropertypurchaseshavecollectivelyledtothemostsevereconsequencesofthepost-pandemicerabeingencountered.TheoperationsoftheGroupwereinevitablyaffected,theconstructionschedulesofcertainconstructionprojectsoftheGrouphavebeendelayed,whereasthepropertiesdevelopmentbusinessthatcontributedtoalargeextenttotheGroup’srevenueinthepastyearswasadverselyaffected.
