Lookingahead,theglobalintegratedcircuitsindustryisexpectedtoenteradownwardcycle.Nonetheless,duetothecontinuousimpactofinsufficientproductioncapacityandtightsupplyin2022,itisexpectedthatthefavourableoperatingtrendtowardstheendof2022willbemaintainedinthefirsthalfof2023.Itisexpectedthat,fromthesecondhalfof2023,competitionwillintensifyasproductioncapacityshortageisrelievedduetochangesinmarketsupplyanddemand,whichwillposegreaterchallengestotheGroup’soperations.TheGroupwillcloselymonitorchangesindomesticandinternationalmarkettrendsandadjustitsproductionandsalesstrategiesdynamicallytobettermeetcustomers’needswithawiderrangeofmorecompetitiveproducts,continuetoconsolidateitsleadingpositioninthesmartcardchipssectoraswellasstrengtheneffortstodevelopnewbusinessopportunities. WiththegradualadvancementofthestandardisationofpoliciesandstandardsforinformationsecurityintheintelligentconnectedvehiclessectorandtheInternetofThingssector,thedemandforapplicationsinthesesectorsisgraduallyemerging.BasedontheGroup’syearsofexperienceinsecuritychipdesignandapplicationtechnology,theGroupwillgraduallystrengthenitsresearchanddevelopmentinthesectorofsecureelementchipsfortheintelligentconnectedvehiclesandtheInternetofThingswithamarket-orientatedapproach,takingintoaccountthedevelopmentpaceoftheintelligentconnectedvehiclesandtheInternetofThingsapplications,andoptimiseproductmixwithtechnologicalinnovationtomeettheneedsofcusto
