The 3rd edition of the eReadiness study by PwC Strategy& provides updated insights into the short-term development of e-mobility in 7 European markets: France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Spain, Switzerland, and the UK. The study focuses on two types of electric vehicles: Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) and Plug-in Hybrid Vehicles (PHEV). The study involved a consumer research sample of the driving population in each market, and an eReadiness index was built on four main dimensions: government incentives, infrastructure, supply, and demand. The study found that while OEMs have made significant investments in e-mobility, the revenue streams have not yet been fully converted despite the share growth registered in the first half of 2022. The study provides recommendations for OEMs to re-define their market approach to maximize the return on investments. The 3rd edition also includes four additional topics compared to previous years' editions.
