This research whitepaper presents the European EV Charging Infrastructure Masterplan, which aims to accelerate the rollout of charging infrastructure for passenger cars (PCs), light commercial vehicles (LCVs), trucks, and buses in the EU-27. The study was conducted with contributions from Wind & Solar Power Europe, Eurelectric, and other organizations, and involved interviews with over 85 stakeholders. The report highlights the key insights and required investments in charging infrastructure, electricity grid upgrades, and renewable energy generation. It also identifies consumer concerns and proposes key interventions to accelerate the charging infrastructure rollout. The study concludes with an outlook on the future of EV charging infrastructure in Europe.
