The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is a regional organization established in 1967 with 10 member states. The ASEAN Secretariat is based in Jakarta, Indonesia. The report focuses on the challenges and opportunities related to old-age income security in ASEAN member states. The report predicts that ASEAN will enter the stage of aging population in 2030 and as estimated, this number will reach 124 million by 2050. To address the impacts of aging society, the ASEAN member states are committed to expressing strong commitment in social protection and improving old-age income security.
