Duringthefirsthalfof2024,thebusinessenvironmentwasdampenedbytheuncertaintyoftheglobaleconomy,risinginflationratesandconservativeconsumptionbehaviour.Therefore,consumerdemandandthevolumeofsalesordersplacedbycustomerswereadverselyaffected.TheGrouprecordedadecreaseinrevenueandresultedinalossaftertaxduringthesixmonthsended30June2024.Inviewoftheseuncontrollableexternalfactorsandthevolatileenvironment,theGrouphasinvestedinresearchanddevelopmentprojectstosupportthelong-termdevelopmentoftheGroup.AresearchanddevelopmentcentrewassetupinourShenzhenoffice,primarilyfocusingonadvancingthecoretechnologyofe-cigarette,includingatomizationtechnology,coilstechnologyandotherrelatedtechnologies. Duringthesixmonthsended30June2024,theGroup’stotalrevenueamountedtoapproximatelyHK$227.7million,representingadecreaseofapproximately43.2%comparedtothesameperiodlastyear(30June2023:HK$400.9million).TheGrouprecordedagrossprofitofapproximatelyHK$40.7million(30June2023:HK$80.0million)withagrossprofitmarginofapproximately17.9%(30June2023:20.0%). TheGrouprecordedalossforthesixmonthsended30June2024attributabletoequityholdersoftheCompanyofapproximatelyHK$7.9million(30June2023:profitHK$20.6million).BasiclosspershareattributabletoequityholdersoftheCompanywereapproximately1.28H
