The McKinsey Global Institute (MGI) is a research arm of McKinsey & Company that aims to provide insights on global economy and management decisions. MGI combines economics and management disciplines and uses analytical tools to understand industry trends and macroeconomic forces. It has covered over 20 countries and 30 industries, focusing on six themes: productivity and growth, natural resources, labor markets, global financial markets, technology and innovation, and urbanization. MGI is led by four senior partners and has a team of partners and project teams.
