The McKinsey Global Institute (MGI) is a research arm of McKinsey & Company that aims to provide insights on the global economy to leaders in various sectors. MGI's research combines economics and management, using the analytical tools of economics and insights from business leaders. The organization has conducted research on various themes, including productivity and growth, natural resources, labor markets, global financial markets, technology and innovation, and urbanization. MGI is led by four senior partners and a group of partners and senior fellows. The organization's project teams are composed of consultants from McKinsey's offices around the world.
