The McKinsey Global Institute (MGI) is a research arm of McKinsey & Company that aims to provide insights to leaders in various sectors. Since its founding in 1990, MGI has conducted research on various themes such as productivity and growth, natural resources, labor markets, global financial markets, technology and innovation, and urbanization. The current research focuses on six themes. MGI is led by three senior partners at McKinsey & Company, Jacques Bughin, Jonathan Woetzel, and James Manyika.
