Wood-relatedBusiness DuringtheYear,theCompanyhasexertedconsiderableeffortsinfurtherdevelopingitscorewood-relatedbusiness,includingwoodmanagement,distributionandprocessingofwoodandtimberproductsbyexpandingitsbusinesstothedownstreamofthesupplychainintoantique-stylewoodfurnituremanufacturing,processing,andsales,forwhichtheproductsareprimarilymadeofredmahoganywoodandyellowsandalwood. WiththecontinuouseffortsoftheCompanyandthevaluableexpertiseandextensivebusinessconnectionsbroughttotheGroupbyMr.Lyu,therevenuegeneratedfromthewood-relatedbusinesshasincreasedsubstantiallyfromapproximatelyHK$133.0millionin2022toapproximatelyHK$312.1millionintheYear. 业务回顾 二零二三年（“本年度”），中国的经济逐步稳定复苏，国内生产总值按年录得5.2%的增长。自年初起，中国多个地区逐渐释出压抑已久的消费需求。尽管如此，自二零二零年八月政府抑制债务水平后，中国的物业房产板块仍未从信贷危机中走出来。木材消耗与房屋市场及其对建材、地板、家具及装饰品的需求息息相关。根据中国国家统计局的资料，本年度全年新房屋动工率持续下跌。因此，于本年度，本集团营运所在的业务环境仍然充满挑战及严峻，并对利润率施加下行压力。 木材相关业务 于本年度内，本公司付出相当大努力，透过将业务扩展至供应链下游进入仿古木家俬（产品主要由红桃木及黄檀木制成）的制造、加工及销售，进一步开发其核心木材相关业务（包括木材管理、以及木材及木材产品的加工及分销）。 鉴于本公司的不断努力及吕先生为本集团带来的宝贵专业知识及广泛的业务关系，木材相关业务产生的收益由二零二二年的约133,000,000港元显着增加至本年度的约312,100,000港元。 ANNUALREPORT2023二零二三年年报05 管理层讨论及
