Chairman 主席 二零二三年年报•贸易通电子贸易有限公司5 Chairman’sStatement 主席报告书 DearShareholders, Review Aftertheturbulentexperiencesinrecentyears,westarted2023withsomehopeforabettereconomicenvironmentamidstamorestableendemicsituation.AsmentionedinthelastInterimReport,ourbusinessenvironmentwasstillunderalotofpressureinthefirsthalfyear,butsomeslightimprovementwasobservedtowardsthelastquarter.Anyhow,highinterestratesandgeopoliticscontinuedtoputpressureontheeconomy. Againstthisbackground,2023provedtobeayearfullofchallengesfortheCompany.NeverthelessIampleasedtoreportthattheGroupachievedencouragingfull-yearresultsfor2023,inparticularourprofitfortheyear.Whileourrevenuerecordedasmallincreaseof3.0%toHK$266.6million,ourprofitaftertaxsawanotable92.3%increasetoHK$100.6million.
