In 2020, many companies were skeptical about new ways of working, such as remote work, due to technical feasibility and employee productivity concerns. However, the pandemic has shown that remote work is possible and can be efficient. Before the pandemic, only about 15% of German employees had the opportunity to work from home, but this number has significantly increased. The pandemic has also highlighted the importance of flexible working hours, work-life balance, and new work models. The Digital Shift continues, and companies must adapt to this new reality to remain competitive.
