The Global Intangible Tracker 2007 (GITTM) is an annual review of the world's intangible assets. Intangible assets, such as brands, software, and patents, make up a large proportion of corporate net worth and it is important for market efficiency that their values are transparent. However, the reporting of intangible assets has been opaque in most cases, leading to a lack of understanding of how values are arrived at, managed, and their useful economic life expectancy. Brand Finance, a market leader in providing quality reviews of intangible asset values, has conducted this latest study in partnership with the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising.
