Despitethesechallenges,theGrouphasshownresilienceandcontinuedeffortstointegrateandtransformitsconvergencemediabusiness.Duringtheperiodunderreview,theGroupfocusedone-commerce,brandmanagementandeventmanagementbusinessestoenhanceclients’brandsandincreasesales.TheGroupofferedcomprehensiveservices,suchasdevelopingmarketingstrategies,operatingself-mediaandsocialmediaoperationsonbehalfofclients,andoptimizationofonlinesalesthroughlivestreamingservicesandcollaborationwithkeyopinionleader(s)(“KOL(s)”). Inaddition,theGrouphasalsofocusedoncapturingitstechnologyadvancementsintheironoredrygrindinganddrybeneficiationtechnologies(the“DGDBTechnologies”).Ithasestablishedbusinesscollaborationswithvarioustechnologypartners,aswellasmajorinternationalandmainlandironoreorsteelmillplayers,toacceleratethetechnologicalandbusinessdevelopmentoftheDGDBTechnologies. Forthesixmonthsended30September2023,theGroupreportedarevenuefromoperationsofapproximatelyHK$25,623,000,ascomparedtoHK$30,163,000forthesameperiodlastyear.TheGroup’sgrossprofitdecreasedtoHK$2,337,000,ascomparedtoHK$6,184,000forthesameperiodofthepreviousyear.ThelossfortheperiodslightlydecreasedtoHK$12,210,000,ascomparedtoHK$13,376,000forthesameperiodlastyear. Intheperiodunderreview,thebusinessenvironmentwaschallengingwithreducedmarketliquidityanddifficultiesforcompaniesintraditionalfund-raisingactivities.Thetighteningfinancialconditionsalsodiminishedinvestorappetiteforinvestment.TheseunfavorablemarketconditionsadverselyaffectedtheCompany’splanstoraisecapitalforitsbusinessdivisions.Inresponse,theCompany’smanagementactivelyexploredthepossibilitiesforalternativefinancingoptionstostrengthenthefinancialresourcesoftheGroup.
