DuringthePeriod,theGroupcontinuedtopursuealong-termbusinessstrategyofdiversifyingintofinancialservicesbusiness,propertydevelopmentbusiness,andconstructionmachinerybusiness.TheGroup’sprincipalactivitiesinclude: (i)securitiesinvestment;(ii)provisionofsecuritiesbrokerageandotherfinancialservices;(iii)assetmanagement;(iv)rentalandtradingofconstructionmachinery;(v)propertydevelopment;and(vi)moneylending. Constructionmachinerybusiness TheGroupofferscrawlercranesofdifferentsizes,othermobilecranes,aerialplatformsandfoundationequipmentinitsconstructionmachineryrentalfleet.TheGroupprocurestheseconstructionmachinerymainlythroughthemanufacturersofconstructionmachinerylocatedinWesternEurope,JapanandChinaaswellastradersofusedconstructionmachineryaroundtheworld. TheGrouphasmaintainedapproximately170unitsofconstructionmachineryintherentalfleetduringthePeriod.Inordertomaintainamodernfleetofconstructionmachinerywithagreatervarietyofmodels,theGrouphasbeenreplacingportionsofitsfleetofconstructionmachineryfromtimetotime.TheBoardwillcontinuetomonitorthedailyoperationsandreviewtheexpansionplanoftherentalfleetandthecapitalrequirementsoftheGroupregularly.TheGroupmayreschedulesuchexpansionplanaccordingtotheoperationandneeds,thepreferenceofthetargetcustomersandprevailingmarketconditionsifnecessary.Tosatisfycustomers’needs,theGroupalsosellssparepartsformaintenancepurposesoruponrequest.
