The report "An Eco-wakening: Measuring global engagement, awareness and action for nature" by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) was commissioned by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). The study was conducted between May and December 2020 and is based on a literature review, expert panel insights, and a modeling exercise. The EIU is solely responsible for the content of the report. The report aims to measure global awareness, engagement, and action for nature. The study findings and views expressed do not necessarily reflect the views of partners, sponsors, or experts. The report was discussed with a panel of experts on August 26th, 2020, and the EIU would like to thank them for their participation. The panel included experts from various organizations such as The Economist, Maastricht Graduate School of Governance, National Geographic Society, Rare, World Economic Forum, and The Economist Group.
