This consultation paper explores the effectiveness of existing governance and risk management frameworks in creating value for businesses. The paper questions whether corporate governance is helping businesses to create value or if there are issues that need to be addressed. The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), which aims to offer business-relevant qualifications to people of application, ability, and ambition, is conducting this investigation. ACCA was founded in 1904 and has a commitment to promoting opportunity, diversity, innovation, integrity, and accountability. The organization works to develop capacity in the profession and encourage the adoption of consistent global standards. It also aims to open up the profession to people of all backgrounds and remove artificial barriers to entry. The paper is part of ACCA's investigation into whether existing governance and risk management frameworks are "fit for purpose."
