The Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) has released a report outlining policy recommendations for the Biden-Harris administration to support U.S. semiconductor leadership. The report highlights the importance of semiconductors to America's economy, workforce, national security, and global innovation leadership. The SIA recommends policies to support domestic manufacturing, trade, China, export control, tax, environmental, research, and workforce/immigration. The report emphasizes the need for a comprehensive approach to building America's innovation economy and preserving U.S. semiconductor leadership. The SIA represents 98% of the U.S. semiconductor industry by revenue and nearly two-thirds of non-U.S. firms.
