The 2021 Voluntary Local Reviews (VLRs) present challenges in reporting progress on the 2030 Agenda at local levels. The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is leading the fight against poverty, inequality, and climate change through its work with a network of experts and partners in 170 countries. The VLRs aim to assess progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the local level, but face challenges in leaving no one behind. The VLRs reference the Leave No One Behind (LNOB) principle, and strategies to implement the commitment and reach the furthest behind are mentioned.
