This report, titled "Getting to Net Zero," presents a framework and milestones for U.S.-China coordination on achieving carbon neutrality by mid-century. The report is a collaboration between the California-China Climate Institute, Energy and Environmental Economics, Inc., and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. The report concludes that achieving net zero emissions will require significant efforts from both the United States and China, and that coordinated action is necessary to achieve this goal. The report includes a synthesis report and two supporting reports that review recent deep decarbonization studies in the United States and China, respectively. The report proposes a framework and milestones for U.S.-China cooperation on carbon neutrality, and provides a roadmap for achieving net zero emissions.
