Agrivoltaics in India presents both challenges and opportunities for scale-up. The technology combines the principles of agriculture and solar energy to generate electricity and produce crops simultaneously. Despite the potential benefits, the adoption of agrivoltaics in India is limited due to various challenges such as high costs, lack of awareness, and regulatory barriers. However, with the increasing demand for renewable energy and sustainable agriculture, there is an opportunity for policymakers and stakeholders to promote the adoption of agrivoltaics and overcome these challenges. The report suggests that government support, public-private partnerships, and education and awareness campaigns can help to overcome the barriers and accelerate the scale-up of agrivoltaics in India.
