Afteralongwaitedthreeyearsofbusinessdisruptionandstringentanti-Covidmeasures,itisanticipatedthatwiththecontinuedeasingofanti-Covidmeasures,thereopeningofChina’sborderinJanuary2023andfurthersupportivegovernmentpolicies,weshouldseeanoverallimprovementofthelocaleconomy.OurGroupcontinuedtheexistingbusinessinthepastyears,inparticularresumedourToysDivisioninfulloperation,resultinganincreaseofrevenuebyapproximately17.2%toHK$849.1million. PROSPECTS Weanticipatethat2023isayearwherewewillseemanythingsreturntonormal.TheToysDivisionexperiencedtremendouspressureonproductmarginsandturnoverinFY2022,buthasalreadymanagedtorestartitsoperationafteracloseddownperiodduetoCOVID-19.TheToysDivisionisexpectedtocontinuetoperformsatisfactorily. Startingin2022,theBoardislookingfordifferentbusinessopportunitiestodiversifyourprincipalbusinessactivitiesandmovingtowardmoreprofitablebusinessesinordertomaintaincompetitivenessandensureshareholderreturns.CostcuttingmeasureswithintheGroupwereputinplacetoreduceoperatingcosts.TheBoardhasalsodecidedtogivetheCompanyabetterfinancialpositiontomeetthefuturechallenges.
