Fortheinterimperiodended30June2024,thetoybusinessisexpectedtocontinuetosufferintheneartermduetothefactorsbeyondtheGroup’scontrol,especiallythepooreconomyoflikeU.S.(i.e.ourmajortargetmarkets). Reflectingonthepastfiscalyear,themanufacturingoftoyindustryhasnavigatedalandscapefilledwithchallengesandopportunities,witheachplayingacrucialroleinourcontinuedgrowthandsuccess.ThelingeringeffectsoftheprolongedwarbetweenRussiaandUkraine,compoundedbythenewconflictbetweenIsraelandPalestine,havecomplicatedtheeconomicsituation.Suchglobalsettingshaveimpactedourdailyoperationswithincreasedfreightcostsandoftenextendeddeliveryleadtime.Inadditiontothesegeopoliticaltensions,fluctuatingcurrencyvalueswiththeweakEuroandYenhavefurthermuddiedtheglobaleconomiclandscape.Whileconsumerspendingisimproving,theseexternalfactorsposenewchallengesworldwide.Inoverall,toysalesin2024wasunabletoachievethesaleslevelsin2023. Duringtheinterimperiodended30June2024,therevenuederivedfromtheplantationandsalesofagriculturalproductsisHK$1.36million(fortheinterimperiodended30June2023:HK$0.16million).
