DuringtheYear2022,thesemiconductorindustrywasundergreatpressureandenteredintoanadjustmentcycleamidtheCOVID-19pandemic,lastinggeopoliticalconflictsandchangesofsupplyanddemandinthemarket.Butchipdemandsinthefieldsofautomobileelectronics,high-powerrenewableenergy,energystorageandindustrialautomationimprovedcontinuouslyasthedigitaleconomyandthenewenergyvehicleindustrydevelopedatafasterpace.Undersuchabackdrop,theGroup’sbusinessesofcellphone,informationtechnologyandconsumerelectronicproductswereconfrontedwithchallengesintheshortterm.Facedwiththepressure,theGrouptookproactivemeasurestoimprovetheoverallefficiencybyadjustingtheproductstrategyandadoptingrigorouscostcontrolpolicies,andunremittinglyexploreddiversificationtoexpandsourcesofrevenue.DuringtheYear2022,theGrouprecordedrevenueofHK$2,689.1million,representingaslightgrowthascomparedwith2021;lossattributabletoownersoftheCompanywasHK$32.4million,comparedwiththeprofitof2021amountingtoHK$6.7million,whichwasattributabletothedecreaseofgrossprofit. Toseizetheopportunitiesarisingfromdevelopmentofthesemiconductormarket,theGroupmaintainedgoodrelationshipwithmajorelectronicsdistributorsandupstreammanufacturersandenrichedproductcategoriesbydevelopingnewproduct,improvingservicecapabilityandotherinitiatives,whichfurtherenhancedcustomerengagementandstickinessandpromotedsteadybusinessdevelopment. Inthechipmarket,theGrouppromotedtransformationandupgradingwithconsiderationofmarketdemandsduringtheYear2022,tobettersatisfydemandsofcustomersfromthemanufacturingsector.Inthemeantime,theGroupstrictlyimplementedthemarketingdeploymentandrequirements,improvedthequalityofmarketingactivitiesandstrengthenedclosecooperationwithcustomers,toensuremarketingdeploymentwoulddeliverconsiderablebenefits,thusprovidingpowerfulimpetusandstrongsupporttothehigh-qualitydevelopment.
