DuringtheReviewPeriod,suspensionofproductionandlogisticsdisruptioncausedbyrepeatedpandemicreboundsinChinaimposednegativeimpactsonboththesupplyanddemandsidesofthechipindustry.Ontheinternationalfront,duetocontinuousgeopoliticaltensionandslowdowninglobaleconomicrecovery,theoverallsemiconductorindustrywasundergreatpressure.Onthedemandside,themarketexperiencedweakeneddemandforconsumerelectronicsinthefirsthalfof2022.Ontheotherhand,withrapiddevelopmentoftheelectricvehicle(EV)sectorandtheprevailingtrendofIT-orientedhigh-endmanufacturing,demandsforchipsfromhigh-performancecomputingandautomobileelectronicssectorscontinuedtorise.Onthesupplyside,thesemiconductorindustryhasshiftedfromacomprehensivechipshortagetoastructuraloneaschipinventorieshavebeenputonthemarket,leadingtoagradualrebalancebetweensupplyanddemandofthesemiconductorindustry. TheGroup,actingasastablesupplierofdigitalstorageproductsandgeneralelectroniccomponents,achievedastableperformanceagainstthebackgroundofrisingmarketuncertainties.TheGroup’srevenuefortheReviewPeriodwasapproximatelyHK$1,634.9million,representinganincreaseof14.8%ascomparedwiththeLastCorrespondingPeriod,whilenetprofitattributabletoownersoftheCompanywasapproximatelyHK$6.5million,representingadecreaseof75.5%overHK$26.6millionforthe1H2021.
