Astheworldheadsintothethirdyearofthepandemic,theemergenceofOmicron,thehighlytransmissibleCOVID-19variant,hascloudedoverglobaleconomicgrowthin2022.ChinahasseenspikeinconfirmedandasymptomaticcasesinMarch,andfollowingthelockdownimposedtoShenzhenandJilininaccordancewithChina’sdynamiczero-COVIDstrategy,Shanghai,beingChina’sbiggestcityandaglobaltradehub,reportedacontinuousgrowthonnewcasesleadingtoitsprolongedcitywidelockdownfortwomonthsuntilendofMayandresultedinproductionandsupplychaindisruptionsformanufacturersandsuppliersglobally.InadditiontotheescalatingtensionsbetweenChinaandtheUnitedStates,theincreasinggeopoliticalrisksinducedbytheconflictbetweenRussiaandUkraine,thetwomajorcommodityproducers,furtherpushupinflationandtriggerturmoilinthefinancialmarkets,draggingontheglobaleconomyrecovery. Againstanuncertainandvolatileglobaleconomicbackdrop,China’s“dualcirculation”developmentstrategythattakesthedomesticmarketasthemainstaywhiledomesticandforeignmarketscomplementeachother,whichwasfirstadoptedinMay2020,hashelpedinshieldingChina’seconomyfromanincreasinglyturbulentandunpredictableexternalenvironment.TofurtherreorientChina’seconomicgrowthpatterntobuildupresilienceagainstglobalvolatility,ChinareleasedinApril2022aguidelineonacceleratingtheestablishmentofanationalunifiedmarketthatisefficient,rules-based,fairforcompetitionandfullyopen.Theacceleratedeffortsforbuildingofaunifieddomesticmarketthatfeaturesefficientproduction,di
