Duringtheyear,theimpactsofCOVID-relatedrestrictions,includingthestrictlockdownsandmovementrestrictions,posedsignificantchallengestotheoperatingenvironmentofpharmaceuticalenterprisesandloweredthegrowthpaceofthepharmaceuticalindustry,asmanufacturinganddistributionactivitieswereaffectedtovaryingdegrees.Furthermore,thelaunchoftheseventhroundofcentraliseddrugprocurement,regularupdatesofnationaldrugreimbursementlist,andreformstobettercontrolmedicalcoststhroughthediagnosis-relatedgroupsandbigdatadiagnosisinterventionpacketpaymentmanagementmodels,havebeenpushedforwardandimplementedonacontinuousbasis,whilesupportiveinitiativesbythegovernmenthavebeenrolledouttoencourageresearchanddevelopmentofinnovativepharmaceuticalstobenefitmorepatientsandmeeturgentclinicalneeds.China’spharmaceuticalindustryisenteringastageofhigh-qualitydevelopmentwithfocusoninnovation-drivengrowth.Whileconstantlyregulatorychangesandreformscontinuetoreshapetheindustrylandscape,pharmaceuticalenterpris
