Resurgence of sporadic spikes in COVID-19 casesin China (or the “PRC”), particularly during March to May 2022,causedwidespread lockdowns to its major cities to containtransmission of the COVID-19 variants, hindered China’s economicgrowth which slowed from 4.8% registered in the first quarter of 2022to 0.4% in the second quarter, the lowest rate since China’s economycontracted by 6.8% in the first quarter of 2020. Helped by a raft ofstimulus measures from the government after the end of the strictlockdowns,China’s economy grew 3.9%and 2.9%in the thirdquarter and fourth quarter of 2022, bringing full-year growth rate of 3%in 2022, which marks one of the worst performances in decades.Following the containment of the COVID-19 variants and the graduallifting of related restrictions from December 2022, China’s economygrew by a better-than-expected 4.5% in the first quarter of 2023,mainly due to a strong recovery in consumption. 於 年 度 內，受 新 冠 肺 炎 相 關 限 制 措 施 所 影響（包 括 施 行 嚴 格 封 鎖 及 出 行 限 制 措 施），醫 藥 企 業 的 經 營 環 境 面 臨 重 大 挑 戰，製 造和
