TABLE OF CONTENTS TABLE OF SUBMITTERS FOREWORD Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) is a crucial tool inaddressing global greenhouse gas emissions and tacklingclimatechange.Urgent technological development, deployment, and scale-up of CCS technologies arenecessary to meet our net-zero targets across industriessuch as cement, steel, chemicals, natural gas, and powergeneration. The uptake of CCS technologies mustcontinue to accelerate to address emissions from theseindustries and more, alongside deployment of CarbonDioxide Removal applications to remove CO2alreadypresent in the atmosphere. The Technology Compendium showcases the breadthand depth of CCS technology available for deploymenttoday, as well as technology in the process of reachingfull commercial readiness. This insight into the currentCCS technological capabilities and what may lie aheadprovides a view of the accelerating deployment of CCSacross the globe to tackle climate change. The Technology TeamGlobal CCS InstituteAugust 2024 Thisyear’s Technology Compendium continues thework of earlier editions, expanding upon technologiesapplicableto CCS with deeper insight on theirperformanceand applications.Proven, establishedtechnologies used for many decades in various industriesarerepresented,as well as emerging technologiesthatwill drive further improvements in performance, system costs, and energy usage. The submissions tothis Compendium cover a range of methods in capture, transport, and storage to enable the development of thefull CCS value chain. Acknowledgements We are grateful for the contributions and support of all the Submitters who have contributed to this publication.
