The Eastwood Health and Care Centre is a reference project commissioned by Hubwest Scotland on behalf of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and the Scottish Government Health Directorate via the Scottish Futures Trust. The project was developed by Gareth Hoskins Architects, one of two practices selected to develop the reference design for a primary healthcare centre. The project was managed by Hub West Scotland. The reference design was developed in collaboration with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, the Scottish Government Health Directorate, and the Scottish Futures Trust. The reference design is intended to provide a flexible and adaptable primary healthcare centre that can meet the changing needs of the local community. The reference design includes a range of facilities, including clinical zones, bookable rooms, cafes, community spaces, and out of hours use. The reference design also includes a mix of open plan and enclosed spaces, breakout spaces, informal working areas, meeting and training rooms, staff rooms, and libraries. The reference design also includes a flexible and adaptable approach to M&E and structural strategies, as well as a cost plan and life cycle costing approach.
