The McKinsey Global Institute (MGI) is a research arm of McKinsey & Company that aims to provide insights into global economic trends and forces. MGI's research combines economics and management, using a "micro-to-macro" methodology to examine industry trends and their impact on business strategy and public policy. The institute's recent reports have focused on themes such as productivity and growth, natural resources, labor markets, global financial markets, technology and innovation, and urbanization. MGI is led by three senior partners and a team of partners and senior fellows.
