The McKinsey Global Institute (MGI) is a research arm of McKinsey & Company that aims to provide insights into the global economy. Its research combines economics and management, using the "micro-to-macro" methodology to examine microeconomic trends and understand macroeconomic forces affecting business strategy and public policy. MGI's recent reports have covered a range of themes, including productivity and growth, natural resources, labor markets, financial markets, technology and innovation, and urbanization. The report is led by three senior partners at McKinsey & Company, and project teams are led by the senior fellow and visiting senior fellow.
