AsIreflecton2023,IamproudthattheGrouphadadaptedtothechallengesofeconomicuncertaintyandtheGrouphaddemonstrateditsresilienceandmaintainedourprofitability.Weremaincommittedtothesafetyofourworkers,qualityofoursnackproductsandtodeliveringvaluetoourstakeholders. FINANCIALPERFORMANCE In2023,theSingaporeeconomyexpandedby1.1%,moderatingfromthe3.8%growthin2022.TheGroup’sgrossprofitsforbothnutsandchipshadalsoimproved,andgrossprofitsincreasedbyS$1.8millionor10.0%toS$19.8millionfortheyearended31December2023,despiteadecreaseinrevenue. TheGroup’stotalrevenuedecreasedbyapproximatelyS$4.7millionor6.3%fromapproximatelyS$74.8millionfortheyearended31December2022toapproximatelyS$70.1millionfortheyearended31December2023,mainlyduetolowersalesfornutsinSingapore,MalaysiaandthePRC(includingHongKong).TheGroup’stotalgrossprofitincreasedbyapproximatelyS$1.8millionor10.0%fromapproximatelyS$18.0millionfortheyearended31December2022toapproximatelyS$19.8millionfortheyearended31December2023despitethedecreaseinrevenue.Thegrossprofitmarginincreasedfromapproximately24.0%fortheyearended31December2022to28.2%fortheyearended31December2023.TheGroup’sprofitfortheyeardecreasedbyapproximatelyS$0.4millionor6.2%fromapproximatelyS$5.8millionfortheyearended31December2022toapproximatelyS$5.5millionfortheyearende
