Duringthefinancialyear(“FY”)of2023,thefirstpost-COVIDyear,theGroupfacedstrongchallengesofcontinuousgeopoliticaltensions,risinginterestratesthatresultedininflationarypressuresandlowersalesdemandworldwide,andthefinancialshocksintherealestateindustryinthePeople’sRepublicofChina(the“PRC”).Toalleviatetheimpactoftheseuncertainties,theGroupoptedtoexercisefinancialprudencetolowersafetystocktoanoptimallevel,andtooptimizefixedcostsbyinvestinginnewmachineriesprudentlyforconfirmednewbusiness,andadoptingefficientcostcuttingmeasurestocopewithsignificantsuddendropinsalesdemandworldwideintheairpurifierproductcategoryasconsumersnolongerstayedhomeandspentmoneyonhealthrelatedconsumerproducts. Despitealltheseeconomic,geopoliticalandpandemicuncertainties,theGroupmanagedtotackleeachchallengeandlaunchmorenewinnovativeproductsduringFY2023inproductcategoriesthathelpedconsumershaveagreattimewhentheyhadgatheringsathomeorwhentheywentout.TheGroupalsofocusedonproductsthatwouldgiveconsumersneatappearanceastheynolongerwearmaskswhengoingouttoworkorhavingfunoutside.TheGroupadoptedalternativemarketingstrategieswithourcustomersthatemphasizedproductdiversification,suchaslaunchingofnewproductsinnichemarketsthatwouldgoviralinthesocialmedia.Forexample,theGroupsuccessfullyhelpedoneofitscustomerslaunchaseriesofinnovativebeverageproducts,includingapremiumproductlinewhichwouldenhancecustomerexperienceinbarsandpubsandamoreaffordablehomeproductlineforuseathomeandgatherings. 本人欣然提呈利民实业有限公司及其附属公司（统称“本集团”）截至2023年12月31日止年度之年度业绩。 于冠状病毒疫情后首年的2023财政年度（“财政年度”），本集团面临持续的地缘政治紧张局势、利率上升导致的通胀压力及全球销售需求减少、以及中华人民共和国（“中国”）房地产业的金融冲击等严峻挑战。为了减轻该等不明朗因 素的影响，本集团选择实施审慎的财政策将安全库存降至最优水平，同时通过以下措施优化固定成本：一方面为已确定的新业务审慎投资新机器，一方面采取的有效的成本削减措施以应对因客户不再居于家中并在健康相关消费产品方面有所花费而导致的全球空气净化器产类别的销售需求大幅骤降。 尽管存在所有该等经济、地缘政治及疫情不明朗因素，于2023财政年度，本集团成功应对每一项挑战并在产品类别方面新推出了多款帮助在家聚会或外出的客户均会愉快的创新产品。此外，本集团专注于能让消费者外出工作或游玩时不再佩戴口罩而拥有整洁仪容的产品。本集团针对重视产品多元化的客户采取其他营销策略，如在细分市场推出将在社交媒体上走红的新产品。例如，本集团成功帮助一名客户推出一系列创新饮料产品，包括可提升酒吧及酒馆顾客体验的高端产品系列以及供家庭及聚会使用更实惠的家用产品系列。 利民实业有限公司二零二三年年报3 Chairman’sStatement 主席报告 Asaresultofthesuccessfullaunchofnewproductsinnichemarkets,forFY2023,theGroup’sconsolidatedturnoverincreasedtoHK$1,362,732,000,representinganincreaseofapproximately28.19%ascomparedwiththeconsolidatedturnoverofsameperiodinthepreviousyear.NetprofitoftheGroupwasHK$67,871,000,representinganincreaseofapproximately122.50%,ascomparedwiththenetprofitofHK$30,504,000forthesameperiodinFY2022;andrepresentingbasicearningspershareof13.54HongKongcents(netprofitinFY2022wasHK$30,504,000,withbasicearningspershareof6.09HongKongcents).ThesignificantincreaseinnetprofitwasattributabletothefactthattheGroup’sbusinesshasrecoveredinthepostCOVID-19eraandcontrolledexpensestogetherwithaseriesoffavourablemacroeconomicfactors:strongUnitedStatesDollars(“USD”),appreciatingBritishpoundsanddepreciatingRenminbi(“RMB”),risinginterestratesthatincreasedtheGroup’sinterestincome.DespiteresumptionofnormallifegloballyoutsidethePRCandHongKongthatledtolowerdemandforairpurificationproducts,theGrouphadsuccessfullylaunchednewconsumerproductsthatconsumerswouldpurchaseinthepostCOV
