The European automotive industry supports the development of Cooperative, Connected and Automated Mobility (CCAM) and believes that C-ITS can contribute to a safer, more convenient, and sustainable mobility ecosystem. To achieve this, additional spectrum will be needed beyond the currently harmonized ITS spectrum in Europe. The industry is engaged in various studies and technical work items to develop future C-ITS use cases and is seeking to engage in a dialogue with spectrum regulators and policy makers to determine a timeline for the rollout of innovative C-ITS services and ensure that adequate radio spectrum resources are identified and made available.
